you keep it simple by integrating fitness into your world as it really exists.
Q: My parents could really use your
help and would be great training together, but they each have several medical
issues. Can you help them?
A: Yes, after receiving clearance and
guidance from their physicians, we will develop a program of post-rehab aftercare
to improve their lives. We have developed and implemented successful
programs for clients who have had breast cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis,
torn ACLs, arthritis, back injuries, high blood pressure, gout, prostate
cancer and high cholesterol among other health issues. Joe Stein, who
is a Post-Rehab Technician and has personally helped many clients with special
issues, develops each program involving a post-rehab aftercare component.
Q: Do you offer pre-natal and post-partum
training?
A: Yes! We have quite a few “Renaissance
Babies.” After receiving medical clearance and guidance from your physician,
a customized program for each trimester is developed to keep you strong,
balanced and stress-free. To keep you and baby safe, the guidelines
of ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) are followed. “Exercising
Through Your Pregnancy” by Dr. James F. Clapp III, MD and “Primetime Pregnancy”
by Kathy Kaelher and Cynthia Tivers are resource books used to help develop
programming.
Q: What training modalities and special
equipment do you employ?
A: In addition to classical resistance
training, Pilates, yoga, Bosu balance training, SPRI elastic tubing, boxing,
medicine balls, plyometrics, Power Blocks and facilitated stretching are
integrated into carefully crafted fitness programs.
Q: Can Renaissance Fitness help improve
my golf and tennis game?
A: In addition to tennis and golf,
basketball, swimming, baseball, volleyball, soccer, biking and skiing are
among the sports personal training can help you excel at. Greater core
stability, improved hand-eye coordination, more stamina, increased foot speed
and reduced risk of injury are achievable goals when you are training.
Q: Can I train at work?
A: Yes, all you need is a 6’ by 8’
space…we’ll bring everything right to your office door.
Q: There is a fitness center in my
building, can I train there?
