Q: Do I have enough space to exercise in my home?
A: If you have a 6’ by 8’ space in your living room, den, bedroom, basement or office, you have what it takes.

Q: Am I too old to train?
A: We have trained people of all ages including teenagers through people in their 90s.
All programs are age appropriate and custom designed with your goals, and current conditioning in mind.

Q: Can I train with my spouse or a friend?
A: Yes, we train many husbands and wives in partner training.  Mothers and daughters, friends and small groups can all train together.  If you are willing to have fun and save money, training with another person is a great way to keep fit.

Q: What if I do not have any gym equipment in my home?
A: We bring everything you need to train at home or in your office. Just wear comfortable clothes and bring a willingness to change!

Q: I’m used to training in a gym; why train at home?
A: With no time spent on travelling or waiting for equipment, all time in your home is spent on training.  We pack a 90-minute workout into an hour.  Time is muscle…get more of each by letting us bring the health club to you.

Q: Can I give the gift of fitness and wellness to a friend of family member?
A: Yes, gift certificates for in-home training, nutritional guidance, on-line training, supermarket safaris and dining out skills are available.

Q: I travel a lot for business and my schedule is wild…can Renaissance still help me?
A: Yes!  We offer the ability to train online.  It’s the next best thing to having a personal trainer at your side.  All exercise programs and nutritional counseling are developed specifically for you by Joe Stein, President and Owner.

Q: Beyond personal training, what other services do you offer?

Q: I have young children and 2 dogs at home…is this OK?
A: No problem. Our goal is to help you keep it simple by integrating fitness into your world as it really exists.

Q: My parents could really use your help and would be great training together, but they each have several medical issues. Can you help them?
A: Yes, after receiving clearance and guidance from their physicians, we will develop a program of post-rehab aftercare to improve their lives.  We have developed and implemented successful programs for clients who have had breast cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, torn ACLs, arthritis, back injuries, high blood pressure, gout, prostate cancer and high cholesterol among other health issues.  Joe Stein, who is a Post-Rehab Technician and has personally helped many clients with special issues, develops each program involving a post-rehab aftercare component.

Q: Do you offer pre-natal and post-partum training?
A: Yes!  We have quite a few “Renaissance Babies.”  After receiving medical clearance and guidance from your physician, a customized program for each trimester is developed to keep you strong, balanced and stress-free.  To keep you and baby safe, the guidelines of ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) are followed.  “Exercising Through Your Pregnancy” by Dr. James F. Clapp III, MD and “Primetime Pregnancy” by Kathy Kaelher and Cynthia Tivers are resource books used to help develop programming.

Q: What training modalities and special equipment do you employ?
A: In addition to classical resistance training, Pilates, yoga, Bosu balance training, SPRI elastic tubing, boxing, medicine balls, plyometrics, Power Blocks and facilitated stretching are integrated into carefully crafted fitness programs.

Q: Can Renaissance Fitness help improve my golf and tennis game?
A: In addition to tennis and golf, basketball, swimming, baseball, volleyball, soccer, biking and skiing are among the sports personal training can help you excel at.  Greater core stability, improved hand-eye coordination, more stamina, increased foot speed and reduced risk of injury are achievable goals when you are training.

Q: Can I train at work?
A: Yes, all you need is a 6’ by 8’ space…we’ll bring everything right to your office door.

Q: There is a fitness center in my building, can I train there?
A: Yes, we would be delighted to train you in your fitness center.  Beyond providing you with personal training, we can provide group exercise classes, such as boxing, aerobics and yoga for you and your coworkers.  In addition, Renaissance can provide fitness center orientation sessions to new employees, lunch-and-learn programs and complete management of the facility.  Learn more about Renaissance Fitness’ Corporate Fitness.

Q: What geographical areas do you provide in-home and corporate fitness training services to?
A: We service Monmouth County in Atlantic Highlands, Colts Neck, Eatontown, Fair Haven, Freehold, Highlands, Holmdel, Interlaken, Little Silver, Lincroft, Manalapan, Marlboro, Middletown, Monmouth Beach, Ocean, Oceanport, Long Branch, Red Bank, Rumson, Sea Bright, Shrewsbury, Tinton Falls, West Long Branch. Q: Where else can I train other than in my home?
A: Many clients enjoy training outside on their decks or patios.  Sports specific training can be done on the courts, fields, trails and beach.

A: Trainer Joe can share nearly 20 years of fitness and nutrition experience, corporate leadership and empowerment insights in a host of forums.
